Experienced that convenience of holding the passport in your hand and ever wished for a phone to be like this?. BlackBerry is here with their phone which is absolutely ‘Square’. Yes you heard me right. perfect ‘Square’.
The first thing that you’ll notice when you see the BlackBerry Passport is its massive size. The phone has a 4.5-inch display, which sounds small, but due to the square display the display seems larger. Being 3.5 inches wide its even more wider than much larger phones.
The square screen makes the device simple and as the screen covers the most of the product thus providing you with a very small 3 rows QWERTY and resulting in a smaller ‘space bar’ and vanishing the ‘shift’ and ‘symbol’ key. If you have been a BlackBerry user from long then definitely this is going to disappoint you, but still the company claims that the keyboard is the best part of the passport.
BlackBerry boasts that the keyboard is hard and can be used for a high speed typing using both the hands. The keyboard also doubles as a touchpad, which is where it gets really interesting. You can still swipe up while writing a word to auto complete, swipe down to reveal numbers and special characters, or swipe to the left to delete one word at a time.
BlackBerry also claims that its shape allows the phone to display 60 characters in a single row, which would not be considered a much game changing factor.
